Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This policy explains what DomainAnt ("we", "us") collects when you use the app, why, and what choices you have. It's written to describe what the product actually does, not boilerplate.
What we collect
- Account info. If you sign in, we store your email and, for Google sign-in, the profile info Google shares (name, avatar). We use NextAuth with Google OAuth and email magic links — we never see or store your Google password.
- Your brainstorming sessions. If you're signed in, we save your chat sessions, messages, and the domain candidates you've checked so you can come back to them later. Anonymous (signed-out) use keeps this only in your browser's local storage — we don't see it.
- Wishlist. Domains you save are stored against your account so they sync across devices.
- Billing info. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer/subscription IDs and plan tier — we never see or store your card number.
- Usage & analytics. We log which features you use (e.g. names generated, domains checked) to run the product, enforce plan quotas, and understand what's working. This is product analytics, not ad tracking.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data or your brainstormed ideas to anyone. We don't share your prompts or sessions with third parties except the infrastructure providers required to run the service (see below).
Who processes data on our behalf
- Anthropic, OpenAI, and/or Google — to generate naming suggestions from your prompts, depending on the model you select.
- Stripe — to process payments for paid plans.
- Resend — to send sign-in links and respond to contact form messages.
- Our hosting provider — to run the app and database.
Domain availability checks (RDAP) query public domain registry records directly — the domain names you check are sent to the relevant registry, the same as if you looked them up yourself.
Your choices
- You can delete any saved session at any time from the sidebar.
- You can use DomainAnt anonymously — no account required for the free tier's core features.
- You can request full account deletion by contacting us (see the Contact page).
Cookies
We use essential cookies for signing in (session tokens) and a preference cookie to remember your consent choice. See our cookie banner for details.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above. Continued use of DomainAnt after a change means you accept the updated policy.
